Before we enter our 9th and presumably final playoff run with both Payton and Brees, here is a look at how well our Saints have competed when the lights are on bright.

(Yes, I am aware that Payton was not the coach during the 2012 season for those 4 prime time games, however, do that math yourself if you want to remove those games from the below stats.)

Monday Night Football 24 games
(16 - 8) Overall
(12 - 5) Home
(4 - 3) Away

Sunday Night Football 16 games
(13 - 3) Overall
(9 - 1) Home (first home loss against GB this season 2020)
(4 - 2) Away

Thurs Night Football 11 games
(4 - 7) Overall / (1 - 2) Season Openers
(2 - 0) Home / (1 - 0) Home Season Openers
(2 - 7) Away / (0 - 2) Away Season Openers

Saturday Night Games 2 games (regular season)
(1 - 1) Overall
(1 - 1) Home (from 2009 & 2016 seasons)

Holiday Games (Thanksgiving & Christmas) 4 games
(4 - 0) Overall
(2 - 0) Home
(2 - 0) Away

2006-2020 Prime Time Games 57 total games
(38 - 19) Overall / .667 win pct
(26 - 7) Home / .788 win pct
(12 - 12) Away / .500 win pct

Playoff Record 14 games (not including SBXLIV)
(7 - 7) Overall
(6 - 2) Home
(1 - 5) Away

Saturday Playoff Games 7 games
(4 - 3) Overall
(3 - 0) Home
(1 - 3) Away

Sunday Playoff Games 7 games
(3 - 4) Overall
(3 - 2) Home
(0 - 2) Away

It has been an amazing 15 years to watch this team compete week after week and season after season.

Thank you to all my fellow Saints' fans out there who have enjoyed this ride and never wavered their fandom ...

...but OUR journey is not yet over. See you Sunday.

Oh cool the toughest game to win in the NFL, all things equal and it’s a 2 to 9 ratio. Nuts

ETA: sorry for being negative but this just really stood out to me. Let’s look forward to improving the postseason stats Sunday

Why would you exclude SB XLIV?

A lot of those prime time games were blowouts too.

At least 2 vs the Cowboys 45-17 and 49-17?
We hung 55? On GB the week after GBs defense shut the Colts (with Manning) down.
62-7 vs Painter and the Colts
38-3 crucifixion of TB
The Washington Drew Brees record game
Patriots ‘09 when Belichick pulled Brady lol.

All on prime time. There were others I can’t remember all of them off the top of my head.
