It makes my blood boil that the saints didn’t go get a number 2 WR and San Fran did. Watching trequan drop that ball and ginn do absoloutely nothing just sends me over the edge.
On top of that our number 1 had a broken hand.

Yep we need three or four new receivers. I don’t want to see anyone except Thomas and Harris back next season and of course Taysom Hill

While I agree we need another consistent wideout Jared Cook was nice down the stretch

San Fran went out and gave up a lot for a guy that they thought was a #2 and ended up doing next to nothing for them. I wish the Saints had found a trade partner, but I’m glad they didn’t overpay.

Emmanuel Sanders single-handedly sunk the entire Saints season.
49ers gave up enough.

That doesn’t make him as good as this board seems to think he is, or his value as high as they deemed it.
Emmanuel Sanders averaged 38 yards receiving for the 49ers in the 10 games he played aside from the game against the Saints. 38. Ginn averaged just 12 yards fewer per game.
He wouldn’t have moved the needle for the Saints enough to make a difference and they would have had to overpay for him more than the 9ers did.
It sucks, but the Saints did the right thing by not getting into a bidding war for him.

Our base offense should’ve been kamara cook and mike at wr with Murray at back and the 5th spot rotating

Mike needs to shut his mouth
Does anyone have a best guess on what play he broke his hand weeks ago?
Some have pointed out that once the Saints clinched the third seed that key starters should have not played down the stretch.
Maybe Drew Brees should have rested his arm to keep it more lively for the playoffs.

Wasn't the only thing broken last Sunday.
See this is where stat baws and people who watch the games separate.
Emmanuel Sanders had critical catches in games that essentially won the game for the 49ers.
He had a catch for the go ahead score in our game. Prior to our last TD.
He caught the essentially game winning ball to beat the Rams.
He showed up in crunch time for the Seahawks game.
I can post numbers and make assumptions but it’s about the context of those numbers and where they came from.
If the 49ers didn’t get Sanders, they would have not been the one seed, they would have been possibly the five seed or out of the playoffs because the rams were surging.
If they win the NFCCG, the value was well worth it.
This is where the saints come up short every time for the last three years. Failure to address the critical failures in this team with meaningful additions.

This. Context matters.
It’s not always about the quantity. It’s often about timing.

When Buffalo was in the market to trade Marshawn Lynch, the Saints passed on trading for him.
The Saints were injured at the RB position and it was an obvious need to make a deep playoff run.
CSP admitted years later that he should have traded for "Beast Mode".

Assuming he broke his hand against the Titans, since he was wearing the wrap during the week after. Hate on him for talking shite, but he is fricking money if he caught a single pass with a broken hand
