Saints’ WR Michael Thomas is being placed on injured reserve due to the ankle injury that has lingered since Week One.

Saints now will be without Thomas for the rest of the regular season, but they expect him close to 100 percent for the start of the postseason.

Michael Thomas now out for rest of regular season but back healthy for postseason, per sources. His ankle just was not getting better with practice and games.

Sucks, but hopefully he’ll bring his A game in the playoffs

The right move, hopefully he can rest until the divisional round

Hate it but it’s honestly for the best. We’ve limped into the playoffs the last 2 years with injuries snd it cost us. If we don’t get the bye then so be it. Playing in Green Bay doesn’t scare me with a fully healthy Saints team:

Not a bad move. Just win the division and we are at least the 2-3 seed.

You know what our reward will be if we win the division for the 4th year in row and wind up the 3 seed? We will have to beat the Bucs for a third time. Awesome.

Yup, he rushed back earlier this year and it just wasn't healing. They need him 100%.

I don’t think he rushed back, it’s just an injury that lingers.

An injury that happened in absolute garbage time on a fluke incident. frick.

Great move.

He goes too hard to rest and practice.

Iced the game essentially, up two scores.

Murray rolls and lands on CGM's ankle. Sigh.

The Saints aren’t getting the #1 seed, and with limited to no fans in the stands, home field doesn’t have the usual impact it has. I’d rather Thomas be healthy for the playoffs than him injure himself worse

The seed gives DB, Cam, etc the only bye weeks. Let the other 6 teams beat up on each other while we rest
