Morstead inks new deal with Saints

Saints punter Thomas Morstead's new five-year deal is worth between $19.75-20.75 million, with $9.118 million fully guaranteed, including a $5 million signing bonus. His 2018 salary-cap cost dropped by $2.2 million to $2.65 million. He is scheduled to make between $3.25 million and $3.75 million in salary and bonuses each year from 2019-2022, with cap costs of $4.25 million in 2019, $4.3 million in 2020, $4.5 million in 2021 and $4.75 million in 2022. He can make an additional $500,000 per year in incentives in 2021 and 2022, based on net punting average and league honors.
