Even though it makes me sound like a homer ...I would absolutely love if the Saints drafted these two guys

It quickly upgrades two positions of need.

1. A pass rusher with elite speed and a very high upside if full potential is reached
2. A DB with natural skills to play the ball and who has a knack for making big plays

I'm actually one of the minority who thinks TM7 can play Safety in the NFL. If groomed correctly I believe he can be similar to Bob Sanders in being an undersized overachieving playmaker

He has all the tools to play. He is an excellent open field tackler and ball handler.

You'd be so mad.

TM would make a hell of a FS.

I know you stated this position before and got your arse handed to you...and rightfully so. Mathieu was never a great tackler; I mean never. To compare him to Sanders is a joke. The only thing they would have in common, if Tyrann did play Safety, is that they both would have more rehab time than a crack whore who held back on the cash.

Absolutely. I can't wait to see him play for whatever team drafts him.

IMO he had the most impact of any defensive player in college football since Ed Reed was at Miami. He plays with an extra sense of urgency that most players do not posses and cannot be "coached up" to obtain. If he can maintain his aggressiveness and adapt to the speed and timing of the NFL I think he can have a good pro career.

Mingo is a very real possibility. No reason to think Mathieu in the 3rd isn't either. He is going in round 3

That's fine and all but it won't happen.

Especially based on one of our assistants shooting the shite with guys at their pro day 65 miles down the road.

Mingo just fits but I think we trade back and take jones or another player. I think rob Ryan has very serious interest in TM7

I agree with that. I think he likes Mathieu a lot. If we could trade back and get Jones (I think he will be long gone) I'd be ecstatic. Being able to get Star would be the only thing that would make me happier.
