Based on that he’s done with saints good riddance
Kamara will be next to restructure and cut especially with the looming suspension
Goodell will give him as much as Watson to make a point

Whoever gives him a extension needs to be kicked in the nuts. He's a cancer and made of glass.

Talked to plumber yesterday that did MT's house. Said the guy was a dickhead. He did kamaras and is currently doing taysoms. He said both of them are great guys.

Not necessarily. This deal allows the saints to move on from Thomes easier this off season until his 32M bonus kicks in later in 2023.

So he can sit on his a-- for the 3rd year in a row and get paid $10s of millions? F--k him

This is all dead money (AKA money that was owed due to a back-loaded contract), which is one of many that allowed the Saints to have the best overall roster in the league from 2018-2020 and a top 5 roster in 2021 (even though they didn't play like it).

I get the hate for Michael Thomas, but a contract is a contract and they exist to account for injuries like this.

The people criticizing Thomas should be more angry at an organization that wasn't able to capitalize on said roster rather than a player that got hurt.

Someone is gonna think "we can try to come to an agreement with him on an extension and trade for him"

Chicago is one I can see. They need a wr for fields.

Michael Thomas is great for me in Madden, which has been more of a link to me to the Saints than actual NFL games.

Looks like the Saints have found a way to keep Michael Thomas while at the same time receive cap relief in the amount of 14 Mil. If he has a successful season in 2023, I look for a second restructure and in the event, he has another injury prone season, I look for the team to release him rather than guarantee the 32 million rooster bonus. It is for this reason, Michael Thomas will remain a Saints for the foreseeable future.

I see some posts that say he's gone and others that say we can't cut him.

Fascinating.
