Basically this injury triggers a nerve behind the ribs that makes it painful af to breathe and twist. Doc says likely 2-4 weeks and it’s similar to the injury Cam Akers has earlier in the year

If it had to happen, it really has come at the right time. The falcons have been horrendous, but obviously play us tough. Our defense should be good enough to beat them, the eagles, and denver if Jameis is at least serviceable.

they've won 3 out of their last 4

Raheem Morris has them playing well & having a healthy Julio helps

@ Vikings (3-5), W 40-23
vs. Lions (4-5), L 23-22
@ Panthers (3-7), W 25-17
vs. Broncos (3-6), W 34-27
BYE
@ Saints (7-2), Noon Sunday

playing shite teams also helps... but we'll be without Drew so the defense may have to carry the team through this stretch

ETA: pretty sure the Falcons caught the Vikings without Dalvin Cook. The Vikings have been playing a lot better too since Cook came back

They are close to the top of the league in minutes leading this season. They play well and blow it at the end

They have not beat a winning team yet. Like you said, their losses are bad.

The games between us are never a gimme but I would take them right now without Drew as compared to previous years. Even if we split like we typically do, that's not the end of the world.

What the Saints really need is for Tampa to drop at least 1 of their next 2 (rams, KC).

This is absolutely about Jameis. If we get too 15 QB play (shouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility given Payton and the supporting cast) we should be fine.

However we didn’t see that at all yesterday. It was very bad from Jameis.

We can go back to last year and see the exact same from Teddy in his debut.

Big difference, our defense has looked incredible and continue to get better.

If defense wins championships, let's ride.

I'm going to forgive Jameis for yesterday's performance as it was his 1st time really getting to work with the 1s

if we don't see improvement during this stretch while he's starting... then I'll be concerned

but... all I have to remember is last year's game against the Cowboys where we won without scoring a TD... the D will have to be like that during this stretch

I really wish at least 1 of these 2 games was on the road... but alas... they're both in Tampa

in fact... our game against TB last week was the 1st of a 4 games in 5 at home stretch for the Bucs

and after these 2 weeks it's smooth sailing for TB

TB's remaining schedule
vs. Rams
vs. Chiefs
vs. Vikings
at Falcons
at Lions
vs. Falcons

Yeah in fact their numbers in their "surprise" debuts are pretty comparable if you extrapolate them out

Teddy 17/30 for 165 no TDs (5.5 avg)
Jameis 6/10 63 no TDs (6.3 avg) (over 30 attempts you'd expect 18/30 for 189)

yeah our best shot is the next two. or if people want to believe the Falcons have the ability to pull wins off, maybe they can split there.

the question is when do the Falcons start realizing they need to tank for a better draft spot and actively try to lose games

like do they eventually bench Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Todd Gurley, etc.?

gonna be hard not to drop one against the Falcons. Their offense is still legit and they have been playing better the last month.

If Gurley had gone down just a tad earlier instead of barely crossing the goal line toward the very end of the game, the Falcons would have been 4-0 over that span.

it was the most Falcon thing of 2020

If Marpet doesn't play Donald is going to do what Onyemata did but worse to them. He might do it anyway.

guy on the radio broke this down this morning. then he mentioned Teddy's stats after Payton had a week to plan around Teddy. I trust that Payton will have a solid plan for old crab legs.

and with the way the defense is playing...ain't scared.
