The season has already been destroyed and Payton is not under contract because Goodell voided that.

So the season will end and we still won't know if SP will be the coach.

Meanwhile if y'all panicking, whining mother f* ckers would pay attention, SP already said he's coming back.

Despite a contract situation that is hanging in the balance, Sean Payton doesn't expect to coach anyone but the New Orleans Saints anytime soon. "I absolutely plan on being a New Orleans Saint," Payton told Fox Sports Insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer, who spoke with the coach Sunday morning. "This is the franchise I helped rebuild from the ground up with (general manager) Mickey Loomis, with the Benson family. I love working for the Benson family and with Mickey Loomis. Obviously that's why that stipulation was in the contract."

Damn. Chill the frick out!

My point being the players suspensions have been overturned and this may come back to bite Goodell in the arse at some point. Regardless, he succeeded in destroying the season and SP's year...but that wasn't enough for that prick, so he made SP an "unrestricted free agent."

Many fans don't realize that the Saints will not have a head coach when the NFL reinstates SP, and that SP is free to go where ever he wants. The saga will continue until he signs a new contract. I worry about Jerry Jones offering him an insane amount of money.

That's not what he actually said. He plans to but the NFL made sure the Saints lost and rights to SP by voiding the contract. It's more about the lengths Goodell went to in order to damage the Saints as much as possible.

That's pretty straight forward!

Eta: This statement came out the morning the news broke about his contract being voided.

It sounds encouraging but the only thing that is straight forward in this business is a signed contract...or I guess I need to say a signed contract Goodell doesn't void.

Sounds like you just want to worry. No one on this board is going to change your mind.

I'm not worried:

This is Payton's team he has built from the ground up.
Payton isn't leaving Drew and vice versa.
Who the frick wants to work for Jerry Jones beside two bit hack job coaches who can't get jobs elsewhere. Theres a reason he hires guys like Campo, Garrett & Phillips. (Tuna is the exception because he needed the money and he didn't want to be there. Payton knows better)
Payton has been working for the Hornets with Loomis. Why do that if he's going to leave.
Payton has said he's coming back.
They are renegotiating the contract now.
