Interesting to see more and more big boards with him in the top 35...

I think it’s a very real possibility neither Queen or Murray are there at 24
Also, Jeremy Chinn is growing on me. His pro comp is Harrison Smith. Maybe not a guy at 24. But maybe someone we get back into the 2nd for.

I always quit reading when Derrick Brown is out of the top 5. Hes one of the few can’t miss prospects in this draft and is an absolute monster.

The knocks for him is that he had a mediocre combine and doesn't project very well as an interior pass rusher.
Sure he can stuff the run, but most teams want to push the pocket and create pressure, especially if you are spending a Top 10 pick in draft capital.
You can usually wait to get a primary run-stuff later on.

Ross Blacklock is the most disruptive interior DL in this class. Heard it here first.
Queen/Murray debate feels like a few years ago when everyone was positive we were taking one of the bama DT's, Reed or Robinson, and both fell

Matt Miller is usually pretty spot on

I’m not sure where you’re getting your info from. This is from Jeremiah himself and if you watched him at all you know he can get after the qb.
He only had a mediocre combine if you follow glamor stats.
“He can shock ya. He’ll reset the line of scrimmage, find the football, [and] make a play. Then as a rusher it’s pure power. A combination of the power and effort jumps out as we see if working today. Again, 320 plus pounds changing direction. Not too bad. He won’t be waiting long. It’ll be a very happy team that gets him.”

I’m not knocking the guy. But Brown is probably the second best player in this draft.

I was just reading PFF's preview of him. I'm not saying I agree - it's just one data point.
It does make sense that everyone is looking for the next smaller, twitchy, pocket pusher like Aaron Donald (although it's a fool's errand but he's a generational freak). Ed Oliver is like a lesser version as well - the analytics guys do apeshite over QB pressures.

As a pass rusher yes but can’t stop the run lol

He might be but other experts don’t agree. They rarely do. Brown could be the next dominant DT or he could just be another guy.

People need to remember that over half of these guys in the first round, and like 70% of the rest of the draft...
They are going to be bums. Total bums.
People get so all up in arms about this guy and that guy (that they have likely not even watched) when in reality most of these guys will suck.

It baffles me how over-valued edge rushers are. Don't get me wrong, they are important. But to rank one over a generational QB seems a bridge too far.
Chase Young could get 20 sacks next season and it wont add 2 wins to his team's end of season record. If Burrow can just throw for 20 TDs next year, the Bengals can win 6 games. NO ONE has more value than a franchise QB.

Jonathan Taylor is going to be so good.

The ranking is based off their grade at their position. It doesn’t account for importance of the position.

Its an overall prospect grade. Big boards attempt to rank players regardless of position or drafting team need. They are essentially saying that Young has more value than Burrow in a vacuum.

Might be the worst mock draft I've seen in my lifetime.
Oh wait never mind. Not a surprise.
