He is a great athlete and a "good" QB. The media gave him the MVP after the first game of the season. When you force him to throw ball when he is behind by more than 10pts he can't do it.

It’s almost as if Rush Limbaugh was correct all those years ago

Lamar couldn’t handle the big stage. His two minute drill was comical.

So you're telling me that having a big lead and forcing a team to be one dimensional to catch up is advantageous for your defense, allowing pass rushers to pin their ears back and force QBs to make critical errors? I never would have guessed that

You mean a quarterback who is a world beater in the regular season but when the playoffs come around, he cant seem to be the same dominant player? Wow, never heard of that before.

It's almost like using a small sample size to judge a player is stupid. Thank God GMs aren't as stupid as most message board posters

If his receivers caught the ball could've been a different story

He throws an ugly pass looks like Payton Manning in his twilight years. Tennessee did what you should do and shut down the run game and basically made Lamar a one trick pony. Yeah he threw for 300+ but one pass was a long one and it looked like he just took a chance and flung it up into a crowd where he had a couple guys there. Also attempted 59 passes. Really wasn't impressed

Elway was old and at the end of his career when they won the 2 Super Bowls. He wasn’t a dual threat anymore like he was in his first two Super Bowl appearances.

It's funny that so many is down voting. Everyone is going to want to turn this into a race thing, it's not....... But Lamar Jackson is never going to be an elite NFL quarterback. Go back and watch his last college game. Once a scheme is developed to stop what he does, then every team in the league will copycat that scheme..... And he will be done. He's really good. He won't be a great.

ETA you certainly found the wrong message board to post this. Not quite sure what this has to do with the Saints

Agreed. Great athlete, great football player, not necessarily a great quarterback. Not yet anyway. Will he one day? Not sure yet.

He wasn't but the most famous play from those SBs was his run where he gets spun like a top and he had more rushing TDs in this those last two SBs than passing.

He still had 300+ passing yards while only 17 rushing yards in that game. It’s like saying Brees was a dual threat in the Falcons game last year when he had the spin move TD.

Overall in his two playoff runs that ended in Super Bowls, he averaged 200+ passing yards and had 6 TDs compared to an average of 9 rushing yards and 2 TDs.
