Honestly more good than bad. I think the emphasis for Sean this week needs to remind him that he's not on a shitty Bucs team anymore. He doesnt have to be a hero. Trust your all-pro offensive line. Be cool with throwing it away. Don't think you have to tuck and run if the pass isn't there. Don't try to thread every needle.

I'm excited for Sunday.

That throw to Kamara was on the money.

There was good and bad. That throw to Kamara was perfection. That one where he almost got picked trying to force it to Thomas while he had Sanders wide open in the flat on 2nd and 7 was majorly cringey. I'm reserving judgment until we see him after a full week of reps with the 1s.

I feel the same. The obvious bad play was that throw that should have been picked against San Fran. And he seemed to panic when we got in the redzone right when the 4th quarter started. Back to back sacks. The first sack wasn't his fault, the line just got blown up. The 2nd sack maybe he was still feeling the first sack because the line picked up the rush but then he foolishly stepped up above his blockers and allowed #92 to disengage and get an easy swipe at him.

But you just gotta remember he isn't Brees and he'll always fall short if that's the standard you're holding him to. Other than the near pick he looked like he was making ball security a priority instead of forcing throws. As he practices more with the first team and has a few starts with a gameplan designed for him, I have faith he can be more than serviceable especially given the talent he's surrounded with.

This. He hasn't played a meaningful snap in almost a year and I doubt he's had much practice with the 1st team, so there's obviously going to be some rust.

His biggest problem has always been being indecisive which leads to desperation throws/interceptions. Hopefully Sean can create a game plan that emphasizes getting the ball out of his hands quickly

The saints win alot of tight games the last few years because they have a good special teams and they dont turn the ball over, if that second thing changes with jameis, then we start losing a few tight ones, if not, we should be fine

This guy was number one in passing yards last year; he can play. He could not read a street sign his eyes were so bad. Hopefully the off season surgery helped. He does not have to win a game in NOLA, just manage the game. Sean will call the game to his strengths. Should be fun to watch ..... if the D plays up to potential:-)

That series down near the red zone was just bizzare. His throws were way of the mark and the o-line went straight to hell.

I think his experience playing against Atlanta and knowing their defense will make it a little easier to game plan than say against an AFC team.

This is actually a very valid point.

He's rusty, he needs reps and get the ball out of his hands. Atlanta is weak in pass def. This could be a good opportunity to get tuned up.

He also threw for the most passing yards last year, in the entire NFL... No big deal. Not saying he's a top 5 in the league, but saying he "fricking sucks" is laughable considering.

for context, the bucs were losing late in a lot of those games and their defense wasn't exactly great. couple that with a QB who put them in a lot of holes with THIRTY int's
