John Fourcade is a smelly dude
I recall sitting next to him at a pels game about three years ago. At first I was shocked by his size, but then his scent took over.

He will always be a saints legend.

Not being sarcastic, but for what? Mediocrity?

I saw him at a Casino years ago. I shook his hand and it was like a catcher's mitt. The dude has some paws on him. He is a regular guy.

For being the best replacement player in 1987? I remember his Christmas Eve victory over the Jim Harbaugh-led Colts and that's about it.

My uncle told me Fourcade got blackballed from the NFL due to his and his dad's outrageous predraft money demands. Imagine being an otherwise top 10 pick but being such a jerk not 1 NFL team would ever hire you, then having to live with yourself knowing you totally screwed up your opportunity.

I'd be curious know what he demanded when he was coming out of Ole Miss from someone who knows more.

Basically. He's local so he's looked back at more kindly than Steve Walsh but Fourcade was terrible. Can't believe we played the monster arse Bears defense and decided it was good idea for Walsh and Fourcade to throw 34 times in 20 degree weather and Gil Fenerty should out-touch Dalton and Ironhead 12 to 8.

I’ll always remember him losing the state championship in 1977 to the real Saints legend.
Non other than The Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert. And by the way Coach O was also on that winning team.

I once played in a golf tournament where you could pay $20 and have Fourcade hot your shot into a Par 3.

My playing partners all ponied up the cash. I opted out and stuck my shot 2 feet from the pin. We used my ball.

True story.

That wasn't Fourcade. That was Tommy Wilcox, and the Bruins got robbed in that game!

Saints vs. Chicago Bears in the Superdome during the strike games. I remember the epic QB matchup that didn't seem so memorable at the time: John Fourcade vs. Sean Payton.

Fourcade had the 100th most memorable play in NFL history, according to the NFL Network.

During a strike game, he threw an interception and scored a touchdown on the same play. The guy that intercepted fumbled after a good runback and Fourcade took it in for the TD. The play shouldn't have made the list IMO because there was a penalty and the play didn't count.

re: John Fourcade is a smelly dude
My college days were in the late 90's early 2000's. I don't recall the bar, but it was on the corner across from Touro. It was a popular place, but it was also known to be a spot where underage girls would frequent (along with TJs).

Fourcade was a frequent visitor of this joint, and he was ALWAYS trying to pickup on the youngest girls there. He was the known creep who hunted for teenage girls, and everyone there was aware of it. He was around 40 at this time.

Dude is a sick frick

The local angle is part of it, sure, but the scab to actual starter aspect is just as big as to why he's looked on more fondly than someone like Walsh.

Dude's a mess, though.
