The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports impending free agent Jarvis Landry is seeking a "contract in the range" of the one Davante Adams signed with the Packers at the end of the season.

Adams signed a four-year, $58 million pact with $18 million guaranteed, and his $14.5 million annual average made Adams the league's fourth-highest-paid wideout. Adams is a prolific touchdown scorer, whereas Landry is coming off a career-best nine scores this past season. He has 22 touchdowns in four seasons and plays strictly out of the slot. Doug Baldwin and Keenan Allen are making just north of $11 million per year as the highest-paid slot receivers. To this point, Landry has said he's felt a bit "disrespected" by Miami's handling of negotiations.

@ 14.5 million a year ehhhhhh....

Here's Adams contract:

Edit:

We can technically do what GB did but it would make Landry virtually uncuttable for 4 years.

Ziggy Ansah, on the other hand, can be had for ~5-6 million a year looking at his contract.

Give Okafor ~3-4 million a year and we should be good at DE.

Market Value has him around 9.5m

So not double but still doable.

Love to have JL but that's about 10m a year more than we'd pay him

Ezekiel Ansah signed a 4 year, $18,594,514 contract with the Detroit Lions, including a $11,903,272 signing bonus, $18,594,499 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,648,629.

Coming off of injury but good sack season.

28 years old.

Maybe not 5-6, more than likely if he goes to a playoff team it will be around 8-9.

Cam signed a very friendly deal. Ansah is better than olivier Vernon and he got paid what 15m? Ansah is gonna get tagged or paid 12mil+, bet my left nut on it.

its cute you think that would even be relevant of a 3 yr old contract.

and have you even compared sacks the first 5 years of their careers?

Are you suggesting that Ziggy is as good as Cam Jordan? The first team all pro, Cam Jordan?

Woah dude you need to chill the frick out.

I already corrected myself on the 5-6mil valuation.

His market valuation is currently 9.5m. He's been with a shite team for 4 years. I can see him taking 8 or 9 to be with a surefire playoff team for 3 years.

Packers paid Devante Adams that.

Btw is like 500k less than Julio

edit: I stand corrected. Julio Jones average annual salary is $14,251,209.

:rotflmao:

Yeah we are not going after Jarvis Landry.
