Happy Monday, Who Dat & Who Datettes and welcome to the Week 15/Game 14 Game Thread... the Official, the Original, the Only Game Thread that Matters and not some Dollar Store game thread
The 3-in-a-row NFC South Division Champions are back in primetime tonight to take on the Indianapolis Colts.
Following last week's loss, the Saints are looking to take advantage of a little bit of help from an unlikely source as the Atlanta Falcons defeated the San Francisco 49ers yesterday, opening up a new avenue to a 1st round bye for the Saints, even though no matter what happens tonight the Saints will still be the 3 seed at the end of the evening.
But tonight, the Saints welcome in a Colts team that was in the mix of the AFC South Division race, but now sits 2.5 games back of the Texans for the division title and 1.5 games back of the Steelers for the final wild card spot... so IND's playoff hopes are fading fast and a loss tonight to the Saints could all but eliminate them from postseason contention.
Can the Saints 12th-ranked offense get enough movement against the 15th-ranked Colts defense that allows 345.1 yards per game... only 7 yards per game more than the Saints D allows
Can the Saints 13th-ranked defense hold up against the Colts 21st-ranked offense that averages 341.1 yards per game, or about 28 yards per game less than the Saints offense achieves.
LET'S SADDLE THE COLTS AND GET THIS FINAL PUSH TO THE PLAYOFFS STARTED RIGHT!!!!
The injury concerns for the Saints continue to go back and forth. Coming back for tonight's game includes Will Clapp (elbow), AJ Klein (knee), & Zach Line (knee), who have all missed the last few games. Jared Cook is good to go following last Sunday's scary helmet-to-helmet shot that landed him with a concussion. Terron Armstead will continue to battle through his ankle problems while Cam Jordan popped up on the injury report with an abdomen issue but will be good to go. However, Andrus Peat (forearm), Patrick Robinson (calf) & Kiko Alonso (thigh) continue to recover from their injuries and will be out tonight. Vonn Bell will also miss tonight's game with a knee injury, and special teamer Johnson Bademosi will be out with a foot injury.
The biggest question on the Colts side, the availability of WR TY Hilton. He did not practice on Saturday and is questionable for tonight's game with a calf injury. The only Colt marked out for the game is CB Kenny Allen with an ankle injury. CB Pierre Desir practiced fully on Saturday but is marked as questionable with a groin injury.
Weather: Inside the Dome for the final time this regular season on a Monday night... 100% chance of drunken yelling
Uniforms: The all black uniforms will be on display fully once again
Drew Brees Record Watch: Tonight could be an historic night for Drew Brees. He sits at 537 passing touchdowns since coming into the league entering tonight's game, just 2 shy of the record of 539 career passing TDs currently held by New Orleans native and Indianapolis Colts QB legend Peyton Manning. On the way to that record, Brees will have to pass up Patriots QB Tom Brady, who currently sits at 538 career passing TDs following yesterday.
Playoff Clinching Scenarios: The Saints have already clinched the NFC South Division Championship and can not clinch anything further today.
Current Standings:
NFC South
Saints 10-3
Bucs 7-7
Falcons 5-9
Panthers 5-9
AFC South
Texans 9-5
Titans 8-6
Colts 6-7
Jaguars 5-9

Saints bout to beat that Indy arse 34-20....Black & Gold, SUPERBOWL!!!!
Brees bout to break that record with 2 TD's to Cook, 1 to Thomas, & one to Gin on the deep ball to start the game off!
Jacoby Brisset & the Refs will do their best to keep the Colts relevant, but that Front 7 is about to Eat!!!
How yall see it playing out

Haven’t flown down to a game in the dome in 2 years. Looking forward to adding to the chaos. Brees throws for 4 and Cook goes off.

be careful with the weather... there's already a dangerous tornado on the ground in central Louisiana and the weather should be moving south and east as the day moves on
ETA: it's starting to turn into a tornado outbreak in CenLA
