If you think Winston would top 24 of 28 for 229 and 3 TDs... Yea, no.

Brees had things well in hand until Payton got cute and put Taysom in, and he blew the game for us.

Then when Brees got the ball down 3 and didn’t ever throw it past 2 yards?

Is he about to play CB or safety and stop the secondary committing penalties? The offense is not the main problem here

Cool, my point still stands. If you have confidence that Winston would have been better than 24 of 28 for 229 and 3 TDs, then more power to you for that bold take.

Maybe it’s a good idea to get him the ball then, especially with Thomas and Cook out

24-28 for 229 and 3tds and mostly all of them were short passes, dink and dunk type of stuff. Also, Kamara added 56 yards and more to that 229 yardage total by doing the spectacular, like turning a 2 yd pass into a highlight. You sound like Winston can't do that, Winston can do that and more, he threw for over 5,000 yards last season. He has a much stronger arm than Drew Brees, he'll be able to connect with a Sanders down the field, who right now looks lost in the Saints offense. The only thing with a Winston is he'll make bad plays just as much as he'll make good plays. You take what you can get with a Jameis Winston.

That’s a really, really bad thing if you’re trying to win football games

Jamesis can at least throw it past 7 yards. Brees noodle arm is sad to watch

It's not bold. He would have thrown for 300 yds and maybe 3Tds. But throw in 1 or 2 INTs because he is looking down field. Our offense would open up. He could hit Harris down field easily.

Kamara is the only reason we were in the game. Brees did decent but his days of winning games with his arm and mobility in the pocket are over.

It's not bold but then you concede he obviously would have played worse?

Brees 3:0 TD:INT but Winston would have maybe had as many TDs and definitely 1 or 2 INTs, that's exactly my point.

Jameis with the goat offensive coach would and will be a hof’er. I trust Sean with a QB. Look at all the awesome QB’s he’s drafted and developed.
