I’ve watched the play 100 times and can’t find a reasonable explanation for his actions.

He didn’t bring his head down until Diggs was in the air so the “he closed his eyes and missed” doesn’t hold water. In midair Diggs couldn’t redirect or juke.

And why tuck his arms in?

Bring the hate but the shite is unreal.

I watched the play about 100 times as well and I've just come to the conclusion that he got crushed by the moment. Dude misplayed it from the very beginning; I'm guessing his brain just shutdown under the pressure of the moment and as soon as he realized he might get there early with the hit; he spazzed out.

My thoughts are hopefully he can conquer the moment next time, and the coaches are the ones to blame aswell for putting this kid back there by himself. Run a god damn 3 safety look so someone can still get over and clean up. I get that they wanted to protect the shallow middle in case they could get up and spike the ball and kick a fg; but fk I'd rather lose that way.

I just don't see how you can run 2 high safeties with 10 seconds on the clock; and they are at the 39.

I guarantee crawley was not supposed to let anyone get past him either. He ended up putting himself into position to get taken out by MW. I believe Payton said the idea was to push everything to the sidelines and then stay on top of them with the safety and the deep zone corner. I don't think crawley is supposed to be under and outside anyone.

I think everyone who is a fan of the Saints was upset by this play, but a week from now, any normally adjusted adult should have moved on with life.

It's really just the same thought being repeated over and over again. Williams messed up bad. It happens. It'll continue to happen to other NFL teams as time goes on.

he will never be a winner if he continues to make plays like that.

A winner at what? Life? The NFL? Dude was winning at life pretty good for a 21 year old up until that one play, which by the way, doesn't define his career. He owned up to the media, apologized, and said he needed to get better. A great attitude to have for a 21 year old, and far more mature than myself at that age.

Right, the call was questionable and coaching shares blame as well but there is no way they thought anyone was going to misplay the pass in such a devastating way.

There's a decent chance Diggs muscles his way out of bounds and they attempt a long field goal there anyway but the play would feel way different.

I mean he won’t be winning superbowls having mental errors like that one. Im over the loss, but that was a terrible football play, and i for one, will never forget it as long as my brain works.

You seem to be going off the assumption that he wont learn from this or other players have not made in game mistakes before. This 1 play is not an indictment on him despite some of you guys trying to make it that.

He also made the INT which swung the momentum and got us back in the game

I post my thoughts as the game is unfolding and will always do that. Many don't agree with me but I don't troll the board with nonsense either.

I also never melt over the draft and events like the MW play that are beyond my control. Especially dwelling on it a week later. So yeah, I feel there's a difference.

Yes! once down to 10 seconds, they should've just held all eligibles at the line of scrimmage, run 5 seconds off clock give them 5 yards and then done it again, leaving only one untimed down from the 50, but i understand what they did too i'm sure they thought about it

Can't do that anymore - would be 15 yards and the clock reset

The worst part to me is still the guy guarding the logo.

In the past few weeks you've called Armstead a "fricking joke who is soft as Charmin" and said that if Brees wants to be paid a lot he can "take a hike with that fricking weak armed shite"

Ironically, you also chastised a poster for ridiculing a member of our O-line for getting injured - even though you did literally the exact same thing only days later with Armstead (on a TD saving play, by the way)

Emotions run high, and that's fine, but maybe you shouldn't be the one calling for the board police.

Nothing about that is untrue. Supremely talented but won't play through any pain. Can't be relied upon at all.

Yes. If he wants $28-$30 a year, he can take a hike. I'm all for signing him for $22-$25 a year for two years.

No one said otherwise - you are welcome to embarrass yourself as much as you please.

Just don't whine about admins when you're every bit as guilty as the guy you were attacking.

When you're older, like 16, you will be able to see things with alot more clarity.
