I do not know him or his financials, but why would you leave a situation you know for the unknown. He knows the playbook better than the coach, has great connections with his RBs and WRs, the defense finally seems to be fixed. This is the perfect situation for him.

The Saints will be one of the favorites next season with Brees. I think he wants to win the superbowl and announce his retirement on the dias holding the Lombardi.

Implying Brees couldn't live in Jacksonville or Buffalo for 6 months of the year while his family stayed in NOLA..

This is what the Delhommes did the season who played with the Browns and Texans.

If you're Drew Brees, you know you only have a few years left. You also know the team you're on had a very promising year. You are very familiar with the offense and head coach as well. So there's no real reason to want to go elsewhere unless I get offered an obscene amount more money.

So no. I wouldn't. I mean I'm biased like the rest of us but that's a pretty rational argument imo.

It's pretty well known that Drew has pretty substantial business interests here as well, i.e. Walk-Ons, real estate, etc. I'm biased, but I just can't see him moving his family away from a city that will give him eternal legend status regardless of what happens the rest of his career, particularly if he wins OR gets to another Super Bowl. The Saints will pay him at least what he's worth, so I don't see this going anywhere further than this. Brees seems like a super intelligent dude and it would blow my mind if he left the situation he's got here. Brees is a good dude. We're lucky to have had him and I wouldn't be surprised if he feels like NOLA gave him a second chance.

All of that doesn't even address the fact that he legitimately seems like the kind of guy that would 100% opt to win a championship over getting paid a little bit more.
