I check Yaz daily and when I read that earlier I thought of ya DD

With Baker it just seems like trying to force something that has proven not to work. OL was the critical need IMO and you stand pat? I don't get it. They were in the same cap range as the Saints. Ya know what they have done here. Seems like getting a blindside proven protector would have been the key move to make. If they weren't in the running for an Eric Winston or Jared Gaither there is still Marcus McNeil or Demetrius Bell- all clear cut upgrade/answers to me.

Yasinskas- I also got the impression the Falcons are hoping Baker steps up and claims the job. I’m not saying Baker will ever be a Pro Bowler, but I think this guy has been banged up a lot more than people realize. I get the impression the Falcons think Baker can be adequate or slightly better than that, if he’s healthy.

That jumped out to me. Your plan is to win by hoping? Comparatively I would say the Saints might have hoped that Tennant could replace Nicks. They didn't hope though, they got a certified solid replacement. We could have hoped Franklin or Rogers did better than last year. Nope, let's get a proven product to fill one of our major needs.

Next biggest need? Pass rusher that overpaid Ray Edwards wasn't. Let's keep Abraham! Yikes, it's not a good move to me when I as an opponent say "Hmm, I don't mind that." Team friendly enough deal but he's definitely not on the upside and seems to pad his stats in garbage time.

Even bigger was Julio Jones as an organizational decision. I like him and he might end up a superstar. The problem is that they paid such an exorbitant price that it will be a fail for the franchise if he pans out as anything less than a superstar.

Appreciate your honest takeDD and try to do the same. There's some fresh openings on the Whodat bandwagon. It's more fun with the us against the world crowd than the documented-ly apathetic bird fans.

LOL But you have to give DD some credit, he takes his bashings like a man.

I give him a hard time because of his favorite teams, but he's one of a very few who keeps coming back to take his punishment.

I call him childish names and all that, but DD has been a pretty good sport about it.

I will always hate Bama and the falcons, but DD you o.k. in my book.

Now may both of your teams go out this year and get their arse kicked in many games!!!!

True, but he is sort of a regular. It's not like he's a brand new dirty bird coming on here and trolling. Plus he lives in our city.
I don't like the Falcons either but he's OK in my book.

True. But it still has some merit because:
A) The Falcons are your rival and in the division and most importantly
B) It goes to show you the different philosophies of the 2 orgs (Saints vs. Falcons). The Saints have grown within by making great draft choices in the later rounds (Nicks, Colston, etc). The Falcons have not. Also, the Saints are good about letting people walk that they can't absorb (Nicks) and the Falcons are not (letting Lofton go but keeping Sam Baker).

So if Atl fans don't like mediocrity why are they such die hard Dawgs fans?

And to take a shot at UGA fans, I was there in '09 and sat in the student section where UGA fans sat down...Sit down at a college football game = losers
