I don't see Davenport starting in year 1

I think he's a pass rush specialist in year 1 who looks to start by year 2.

I don’t see any position that was guaranteed to start year 1. Realistically, he’s got a great chance to get tremendous playing time

I don't care if he starts or only comes in on 3rd and 7. As long as he pressures the QB, gets 5+ sacks and he makes a play that changes the outcome of at least 1 game, then he is worth it.

Aldon Smith was an impact player for the Niners his first year and he didn’t start. Davenport needs to better anchor against the run but if he helps our pass rush then it’s worth it.

I mean I guess technically he may not start but I expect him to play a good portion for his position
