It's still pretty creepy downtown. More places have opened up from last week, but still very little open and almost zero tourists. When I walk my dog, all I see are homeless and a handful of downtown residents/workers. Very eerie at night when it's usually busy.

Going on day 17 here, but we should get it later today, what neighborhood in NOLA do you live in?

I believe he's talking about downtown around the Dome. Power was back in 3 days...
With two away games up next I don't see why the Giants game wouldn't be in the Dome
Also the Saints sent out an email to season ticket holders earlier in the week about suites for the Giants game that included this:

Still very weird, most places in the CBD/Metairie/Kenner didn't get major damage but almost nothing is back open in the hospitality industry. Bars/Restaurants/fast food are all either closed or on limited hours. The few places that are open have lines around the corner. I have to guess this is a labor issue.

Where do you live? Everywhere I’ve been trying to go is open and running now.

The entergy cavalry came and got power restored pretty quickly all things considered.
Otherwise no cavalry is coming and things are moving slowly. The city is fully liveable just with issues. Garbage hasn’t been collected since before the storm, street lights are twisted and facing the wrong direction throughout the CBD, grocery stores are maybe 70-80% stocked from their normal, etc. Many grocery stores and other businesses are still closing early or operating on reduced hours. This is the first week most schools/day have been operating.
The opener needed to be moved. The giants game should absolutely be played here. I think a home game this week would be doable but a stretch on limited resources and personnel.
