Ingram was great at protecting Brees. Hope LM can be nearly as good.

He's pretty damn good. Not sure if he's better or worse than Ingram, but they're are in the same ballpark.

Murray was a damn good value signing imo.

He is a very physical player. And at 6-3, 230, he's got the size and strength to match up well with defenders.

quote:

Area some (and myself) were potentially concerned about #Saints RB Murray with was his pass pro ability. From @ArifHasanNFL

"At times, he's tasked with taking on defensive ends, not just blitzing linebackers, and he still finds ways to buy time for his quarterbacks."

Hasan is the Vikings beat writer for The Athletic

From PFF

It's very close between them. Over the last three years Ingram has had 69.2, 71.1, and 75.7 pass blocking grades. Murray has earned an 86.0, 70.3, and 72.6 pass blocking grades. Murray has also been used a bit more as a pass blocker than Ingram.

I believe pass pro and short yardage ability is the main reason we signed him as the Ingram replacement.

Yep, at this point SP has boxes he’s checking off

Another is high character. Murray has been on multiple mission trips to Haiti, USO Tours, married to his long time girlfriend who has been in the navy for 11 years (1 infant child). Working on his MBA at Syracuse currently. Dalvin Cook has raved about him as a mentor. Others have said they’ll miss him in the locker room. Seems like a good guy
