can't see us looking at Tavon with Sproles on roster.

I think it gives you flexibility, but I still think they should take a linebacker in the 1st, or somehow swing a 2nd rounder for moving back a little bit.

Jamie Collins would be an interesting pick, but not at 15.

My biggest issue with trading back and still going for an OLB is that you drastically reduce your chance to obtaining a star player at that position. We need to draft our franchise pass rusher with this year's draft. You just aren't likely to get that after 15.

Sproles ain't no spring chicken for much longer, he's 3 plus mill against cap each year.

I'm sticking to my guns in saying Tavon Austin at 15 is fricking stupid.

I really don't think OLB is out of the question. We're going to need a rotation and Butler is only on a two year deal.

Austin would be fun but there is absolutely no need.

with the switch to the 3-4 we really need players that fit that scheme, specifically on the DL. And of course the glaring hole at LT.

I could see a LB, but i think we'll look in the 3rd for a ILB. I think at OLB we are pretty set with guys they think can play there.

I'm not arguing its a need for us but he could easily end up being the best player and we certainly know how to use that kind of player. I think he can be worked in with sproles and moore and really be a major upgrade to lance moore role. Sproles signed for another 2 years.

Minter would be awesome but i'd really like to get an extra DL player possibly NT. Who could be around that's not a reach at 15? Jesse Williams won't leave my brain.

One of top 3 LT or Kenny Vacarro.

If we were year 2 into the 3-4 defensive system, then yes, Tavon Austin at 15 would be a pretty good grab. Just too many unknowns this year at defense, plus the horror show of last season's defensive personnel, to ignore it early in the draft.

I like Xavier Rhodes, but with the addition of Lewis we have that 1 big physical CB. I'd take Trufant. He's the best cover guy in the draft IMO.

Not sure why people like Vacarro. I've never been impressed with the kid on film and he had a bad combine. Matt Elam on the other hand, will be an instant impact anywhere he goes day 1. Kids a player. In a few years from now he could very well be the best defensive player in the draft IMO.

I agree with most people though. If one of the big 3 LTs don't fall to us, we take BPA on defense. Don't care what position it is. We need an upgrade at every spot.

I really like this idea. I just don't like it at 15.

I think Austin is going to be one of those dynamic players that will be a boon for whatever team is fortunate to get him. It's not a bad thing to want a guy like that on your team, players like that don't come along very often. But the circumstances have to be in place to get someone like that.

I think Sproles keeps up his performance for another 2-3 years, and Lance has a big contract now, we're kind of stuck for another year. Plus Lance has been pretty consistent at catching the ball. He's a bit of a wimp at catching in traffic, but he's a better than average receiver. Just not the right conditions for us.

A trade down for a low 20 and a second could land both MInter and Jesse Williams.

They want Brandon Williams at nose tackle, and if he's there in round 3 that's who they'll pick.

Otherwise, idk.

would be a nice get in the third round IMO. but I'm sure with his size and his solid combine, he'll be gone by then.

I'd like to have Rhodes if he is there at #15. I'm kind of starting to wonder if they are looking at the Richardson kid from Mizzou. I'd much rather have Lotulelei but I think he'll be gone already.
