Wondered if because the revenue is down this year because of no fans, and it’ll likely put a lot of teams in a bind w the cap, I wondered if they were considering not having it correlate to revenue so it wouldn’t drop so much.

I could seriously see them doing something like this. It will hurt the product on the field if they don’t. Teams have been planning for 5 years based off the expected cap increases. A lot of contracts were signed last offseason based off the numbers they thought the cap would hit.

where would the money ultimately come from? The league making less money or the owners making less?

Owners would probably have to eat it if I had to guess. I’m sure a lot of owners would have no issue doing that though because it’s more of a long term investment.

Yeah, it'd be an interesting discussion.

So from what I remember the cap is based on like 48% of league revenue... they could amend it for next year to be like 55-60% to make up for lost revenue

the best thing about Trump leaving, we can enjoy sports again without politics.

Kap, the Denver LB, and one other dude were kneeling pre-Trump... Trump gives speech in bama saying to send them back to Africa and the whole league is kneeling. they said it was about police, but it was about Trump. bye felicia.

The owners and NFLPA agreed in July to $175 million cap floor in 2021. The cap was projected to be around $210 MM pre-covid.
