Gruden to bucs is getting serious talk from both sides. Do we actually worry?

So Gruden looks like he will be the Bucs coach next year. Is anybody worried that he will turn the Bucs around? I mean he won a super bowl but they fell off after that. What are the chances of him actually turning the Bucs around in a division as tough as the NFC South?

Found ths interesting as I was unsure if he would have drafted Winston:
"Most draft analysts have come to the conclusion that Jameis Winston is a lock to be taken first overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Jon Gruden is not so sure that is the case.
Gruden, an NFL analyst for ESPN who coached the Bucs from 2002-08, said during a teleconference Tuesday that he wasn't sold yet on Tampa Bay going quarterback with the top pick.
Citing confidence in incumbent Bucs starter Mike Glennon, Gruden isn’t sold that Tampa Bay – which currently holds the top pick in the draft – believes it needs a new signal caller. That being said, Gruden added that he would go with Winston or Oregon QB Marcus Mariota if he was with a team looking for a quarterback.
"I don’t know who best fits Tampa Bay right now. It would be a tough decision if they go with a quarterback," Gruden said. "I like Mike Glennon personally."
Gruden was complimentary of both Winston and Mariota during his hour-long teleconference and specifically mentioned Winston’s arm talent, familiarity in a complex offensive system as well as his "incredible courage and ability to thrive “on adversity” as reasons why he liked the former FSU quarterback. Gruden worked with both top prospects closely during “Gruden’s QB Camp,” a popular shown on ESPN in which the former coach and respected quarterback guru works closely with draft-eligible signal callers.
When asked directly whether he would be shocked if Tampa Bay didn’t go with Winston next Thursday, Gruden – who was fired by the Bucs in 2008 after winning a Super Bowl in ‘02 – simply said “Tampa Bay shocked me before.”

I think he'll do well. but he's been out of coaching for how long? I think it's a longshot he comes right in and gets them to the top of the NFC. But I guess we'll see.

Payton vs Gruden is a 3-3 split by my count with 2 of those wins being close as balls (Reggie Bush’s first TD on a punt return to win the game in 06)
He did that with some real shite at QB...Winston is Tom Brady compared to the QBs he had in Tampa

No. Gruden is the most overrated coach ever.
Won a SB with Dungy's players against an idiot who didn't bother to change the signals in the SB (Callahan).
Couldn't find another QB and played revolving door. So overrated and irrelevant imo.

Agreed. He’s a good coach but not a special one.
He won a SB with someone else’s team and then did jack after that. And hasn’t coached in like 10 years.

They had some poor drafts last time he was there.

Mike Glennons services will be available next season so it’s a perfect fit.

Yeah Dungy stacked that defense and had a great system that was dominating offenses at the time.
On the other side Gruden knew that Oak team very well and knew how their offense ran (also they didn't even change the calls on offense).
All he had to do was get that offense in TB to not shite the bed, which he managed for a couple of years. Then that defense went to shite. And they never did get a good QB.

That guy!
LET me tell you about THAT guy!
I call him the "patton of personnel"!
I mean, he REALLY knows people.. and evaluating those people!
He'll tell you "HEY! That guy can really do things. Or not. Depending on the situation."
But I tell ya, I've watched film on ole Gruden... he knows when to make a snarl face.. or a happy grimace with the best of em

He also played against the team he built so this argument holds almost no water.
