Can they shut Mccaffery down too? That would be fantastic.

Last year they beat us in a meaningless game and cost themselves draft stock. They shouldn't make the same mistake this year. Put in the kid and lets see what he has. We will likely not be able to rest starters anyway for week 17 but as weakened as they can be is best.

last year we were sitting a good number of our starters b/c we had the #1 seed wrapped up

doesn't look like we'll have that luxury this season

They cant bc he is the only thing they have going for them on O especially if Grier is in at qb. That being said, he may not play the whole game.

I'm probably statistically wrong about this but it feels like that's what happens every time we face a "surprise" QB. Didn't the Titans almost beat us a couple seasons back with a rookie or a back-up?

I don't see why not. Dennis Allen can't seem to scheme up a good game plan to shut Allen down. He has looked like an All Pro, future Hall of Famer against Allen's defense in his 2 starts.

Grier absolutely sucks. Allen will be the starter.

Max Hall beat the Saints. The same Max Hall who just got arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and cocaine possession.

The worst. A family member was at that game. Said the fans were terrible.

Hall threw for like 100 yards and a pick. Saints beat themselves. Brees was godawful that game.

Allen still may start against the Saints but it looks like Grier will start against the Colts on Sunday.

An official announcement is expected Wednesday.

if CAR is going with Grier this week... they might as well just let him play the Saints too (barring injury)

what would be the point of bringing Allen back in for a meaningless game if you're trying to decide if your QB of the future is on the roster right now or not

One possibility is an interim coach trying to prove he's got the goods for the big gig.
