At least we beat out Cleveland...

31. New Orleans Saints

DE Cameron Jordan, CB Delvin Breaux, LB James Laurinaitis

The Saints were the league's worst defense by almost a comical amount last season, finishing further away from the 31st-ranked Chicago in DVOA than the Bears were to the Patriots in 12th place. New Orleans has a legitimate, above-average pass-rusher in Jordan, and Breaux developed into an above-average slot corner as the year went on, but the Saints will still be hoping that the likes of Jairus Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro take steps forward into the players they looked like in 2013. Moving on from Rob Ryan might help, but defensive coordinator Dennis Allen will have his work cut out for him in his first full year at the helm.

I don't see their predictions deviating much from the previous year's ending statistics. Rankings mean very little to nothing until the pads get put on and guys start hitting one another.

We did this to ourselves. Year after year, opposing QBs are instantly inserted into fantasy lineups and get a crap ton of points.

It was automatic that we'd allow at least 2-3 TDs per game.

I sure hope this changes because it is mind blowing how Payton can settle for garbage on the defensive side of the ball. Granted we will be very young on defense, God welling someone will step up!! We have had the two worse defenses in NFL history with in the last 5 years. There is no excuse for that

I don't remember Breaux playing in the slot much.

Guy has a tendency for understatement.

That was the first thing that jumped out to me too. The only time he played the slot was when he was trailing the #1 WR and the WR lined up in the slot. Glad to see they are paying attention over there.

Until they prove something on the field, I think this is totally fair.

This list makes no sense. What does the rest of the defense have to do with a trio? 2 of these guys are on the PFF top 101. Why would you pick JL as the 3rd?

This defense has no one that scares opposing offenses. Another long year ahead for Saints fans

One of the best fantasy football strategies going. Always hitting up the free agent quarterbacks for the Saints next opponent.
