Drew is a shoe-in HOFer. When does the conversation start for Sean Payton?

This hasn't been discussed anywhere yet... here, locally or nationally, but if we win the SB against Brady and Belichick this season, then I think Sean Payton belongs in the future HOFer conversation. I think it's even very probable that he will be in the HOF one day if he gets a second ring.
Here is a list of the top 50 coaches in NFL history by championship (super bowl) wins. Coaches on this list from #1-#15 and #33-#42 have multiple championships (it's separated due to the latter being championships before the SB era). What I notice is that 18 out of the 26 head coaches that have won multiple super bowls so far are HOFers. Sean Payton could join that group of head coaches after this season.
His only head coaching stop has been here in New Orleans and he took over a franchise that was a perennial loser and now we're a winner. His career is not over either. He is only 55. He will have many more winning seasons after this one to add to his legacy. I think the stats even just thus far make the case for him IF we win the SB this year.
Payton is an offensive genius. Look where the Saints total offense has ranked each year over the last decade since SP has been here. This average is better than any other team since he's been a HC in the league over this span.

If Sean wants to finally be in the HOF conversation, he needs to go and win one more for us this year, then all the rest he's left to win will be lagniappe. Geaux take it coach!

Link? I'd like to sort it by win % to see where he falls.

Even by win percentage it looks like he's deserving statistically... He's top 30 all time among qualifying coaches sorted by win % and 15 of those in the top 30 are HOFers.

Pretty much every offensive innovator is in the Hall, so I would say yes. He is responsible for the satellite back, has a great win percentage, and a Superbowl.

If Drew "is a shoe-in HOFer," then so is Sean Payton. Drew is an average QB without being in Payton's system. He would not have won a Superbowl had he remained either with the Chargers or signed with Miami instead of New Orleans.
The better question is would Drew be a HOFer if he never came to the Saints. Sean Payton can win with any QB leading this potent offense. Drew not so much.

No question about it! Go to pro-football-reference site I posted and look at that man's stats. And now if he gets another ring you can mark it down as guaranteed. Payton just hasn't had a long enough coaching career yet for me to think his place in Canton is already guaranteed.
