Nope. He is a product of the system. Matt Cassell and Jimmy G are proof of that. Did you forget about the whole undefeated season with Randy Moss? Last I checked he was still black. There is plenty to debate. Brady wins despite his subpar play. The officiating has been horribly biased in his favor for a while. No other QB gets the same treatment. Brady has rings which is a team award.

That’s funny and all , but you ONLY chose 10-11 games out of FORTY!!!!! Think about that 40 games, how about the games the Defense didn’t hold up (2 SBs ago, 500+ yards) how about the 2 losses to the giants, no he wasn’t GREAT, but he led the potential GW TD drive. You can make a case he misled welker in ‘11 on that ball but hey, Welker made that catch 10/10 during his tenure. We can go on and on . How bout the 28-3 comeback? How bout the comeback against Seattle? How about him tearing up the Steelers in the playoffs repeatedly? It’s funny picking a quarter of someone playoff games. Try again, Brady is the goat! No debate

Again he’s not putting up any super numbers outside when he had Randy Moss.
He’s a good QB with longevity and TEAM accomplishments.

Bree’s been putting up GOLDY numbers because they are always trailing. Let’s not act as if he’s a god . He’s a great QB , but he’s throwing the ball 40x a game. Let’s be real. Brady is the most clutch QB there is. He’s the goat

Of course y’all would downvote me lol, it’s cool being a fan, but don’t be a DRG! Be optimistic for once. You don’t have to downtalk a great just to talk up your own. You sound salty af.

quote:He has the officials to help him become clutch. I've watched him stand in the pocket for 12 seconds untouched. 12 fricking seconds. Not a single holding call made and you can call it every play. If Matt Cassell can help the team go 11-5 then Brady can't be considered a GOAT Imo. Replace Brees with any backup QB and 7-9 would be considered a great season. Hell look at the Packers without Rodgers. The Patriots have a system that Brady benefits from with the weakest division in football.

He only has a 158-37 TD-INT ratio the last 5 years . Also 21,365 yds in that time frame which equals 31.6-7.4-4273 yds. INCLUDING the most yds in a PLAYOFF game also ranks #4 in most passing yards in a playoff game as well. BOTH IN THE LAST 5 YEARS lol. Put some respect of Brady

FALSE! If you wanna say he’s benefited from a few calls, I absolutely agree! But come on now. Matt Cassel has PROVEN to be a solid QB in the league. That was a NE team one year removed from going 18-1. That was a great team with Moss, Welker & a young but explosive Gronk. He had a great supporting cast that year. Cassell has thrown 17500 yds in this league, also 100+ TDs. In 09 he led the chiefs to a division chip. Did you forget lol? He was a pro bowler that year with the Chiefs! Let’s not act like he was just a complete scrub.

When you consider that he has done both of these you could make the argument that his is the best ever. Not saying he is, but you could argue it.
Yep, but fear of being called a homer is most of the reason nobody wants to say Brees could be the all-time best.

quote:all bs. Montana was as much a system guy as Brady, and Brady has had plenty of competition: Ravens, Colts, Steelers, Saints, Packers, etc all very good competition.
Brady is not better than Joe Montana. Stats have been drastically inflated over the last decade or so and Brady didn't face anywhere near the competition that Montana did in the 80's.

Any list with Brady at the top is mind numbingly stupid

Ignorance is strong with this one. Two receivers that have been deservedly mentioned in hall of fame talk (Welker and Edelman) get talked about like this. Virtually uncoverable. I honestly don't know how this slides through.

What super bowl did they win because of him? Think about it
Posted on 7/4/19 at 10:25 pm to PrayingMantis
The best the Seahawks & Falcons BECAUSE OF BRADY! Should’ve beaten the eagles BECAUSE OF HIM as well. He also had the GW drive those first 3 championships & the previous 2 loses against the giants. Fair is fair. We all should speak facts around here.

And God awful at investing in jewels from a snake oil salesman like a medieval king of some kind.

No problem with list. I feel like the old guys are thrown a bone too much on these type of lists and would personally have Brees in the top 3 but I can't argue.

Drew Brees ranks all time
1st in pass completions, completion percentage (has lead the league 5 of the last 10 years in completion percentage), total yardage, yards per game
2nd in TDs, game winning drives
3rd in passer rating
He is absolutely in the top ten, has to be in the conversation for top five, arguably in the top 3 and an argument can even be made for best all time
his drawbacks are he doesn't have as strong of an arm as other top QBs and he only has 1 championship
he's not finished yet

This is the worst list of QB rankings I have ever seen.
There is no way that Joe Montana can be ranked ahead of Peyton Manning. Or Drew Brees. Or Johnny Unitas. Montana was nothing more than a system QB running Bill Walsh’s West Coast offense, surrounded by All-Pros. Steve Young was better. Peyton Manning didn’t ‘run’ a system. He WAS the system. Drew Brees is LIGHT YEARS better than Montana ever was. Imagine if Drew had Jerry Rice to throw the ball to???
