And we're all assuming that putting Asomugha in a scheme that he excelled in will fix all of his problems. While he'll no doubt improve on his Philly play, I don't think that there's any guarantee that he'll be better than Greer.

If Greer didn't have injury concerns this probably wouldn't even be a focus, after signing Lewis.

HC and GM at owners meeting probably has something to do with it.

@ProFootballTalk: .@JustinSchmitt09 do you think Saints sign Nnamdi? . . . I think San Fran has inside track but Rob Ryan will push hard to get Nnamdi.

110%. I'll never understand why people think players who suck at FS can just move to SS and do well. Jenkins takes HORRIBLE angles and is a HORRIBLE tackler. He would easily be worse at strong than he is at free.

They must have some cut or restructure in mind if they are going after Nnamdi this hard. Wonder who it is?

Technically we can offer him up to a $4.5 mil(assuming roby got minimum) cap hit this year and not have to cut anyone.

It's definitely realistic.

Edit:
Actually I forgot about the top 51 thing since we have more than 51 players. I think that means we have closer to $5.5 mil.
