Y'all do realize Vacarro is a FS right? Won't solve our Harper coverage problem.

Move Jenkins to strong safety. Problem solved...kind of.

Prob contract makes cutting impossible. No way we cut Greer. That's a great one two combo.

Please let this shite happen.

Jenkins is more likely than any of those.

And not that I think it's going to happen, but the only one of those three you mentioned even in any position to get cut is Greer.

If it were to come to this, there has got to be some team out there that could use a corner and we could package a trade to them instead of just out right cutting him?

It's possible we could get a trade for Greer, but with his age and slightly large contract, I wouldn't expect higher than a 4th maybe.

I mean any draft pick is better than out right releasing him and taking the dead money hit. How does that work in a trade anyway? Is the dead money taken off the books and transferred to the other team or what?

Trade is the same cap wise as a cut aside from guaranteed roster bonuses (which do transfer). Greer doesn't have one of those.

Robinson, Jenkins, Harper, and Greer all have some sort of trade value. The first two would be easier to move for sure because of their relative youth and small contracts. I wouldn't expect more than a 4th at most for any though, but I would take anything to dump Robinson and sign Asomugha.
