Does the kicker get cut?

Completely unacceptable to miss two PAT’s in a game. That’s high school level mistakes.

We're running out of kickers to try out

Yes. Sign Hartley. He’s still posting kicking videos.

I'm bet there was a bus ticket and a bucket of chicken in his locker.

They cut Rosas for less. Guy missed 1 xp and some 58 yarders and he was axed

I’m gonna say no. Today was bad, but he was good before then.

You don't come back from missing two XPs that badly. He is done, bring in anyone else.

It won’t matter if we have to have Peat’s fatass come back and kick field goals you can bet your arse that a kicker that misses 2 PAT’s in a game we lose by 2 on a Sean Payton led team will be filing for unemployment Monday morning.

I am at Atlantic this evening. I’ll let you know if he gets off the plane this evening....lol

Does a bear shite in the woods?

Unless Brian Johnson has dirt on SP, his arse is gone this week.

Except he did come back. Payton brought him out to kick the FG to make it 8. That shows confidence in him, we have seen Payton go the other way before.

Wrong, he’s missed 3 extra points in 3 games. Solid kickers sometimes don’t survive that. Scrubs get the pink slip every time. He should have been cut after he missed the extra point in the Tampa game.

Hell yes. They should not let him on the plane home.

I would say yeah but....at some point we have to stick with one

You’re confused, today was his fourth game. He was 5-6 on extra points coming into today, through three games. And he was 7-7 on field goals.

Mike Leach is holding open tryouts at Moo State. Maybe we could poach one of those.
I have heard that kicker inaccuracy over the past few seasons is due to the XP being moved back (duh). But, aside from the extra distance, kickers have said they used the previous "automatic" XP to work on perfecting their in-game kicks, so that when the long field goal was required, they were able to have the kinks already resolved. Now, they are having to treat the XPs like a regular field goal--which it basically is at, what, 32 yards? Not an excuse for sure, but it's a helluva lot more difficult than when Morten Andersen was drilling multiple seasons of XPs without a miss.

I’ve been following Hartley for a while now, never understood why he hasn’t gotten a chance. He looks great

Can chalk up other teams TDs as 7 pts, can only count on 6 pts when we get in the end zone. That’s a huge disadvantage. Lutz being out has been even more costly then expected this year
