I think most of us would agree that one of the most glaring needs for the Saints is the TE position. The Saints haven’t had a playmaking TE since Jimmy Graham.

Noah Fant from Iowa ia the clear #1 TE in this class and I feel like he could really benefit the Saints by taking some of the pressure off Michael Thomas. Do you guys think the Saints will try to trade back into the 1st to grab him? I don’t think he will last until the 2nd round.

If anybody it’s Irv Smith, but NO. This is the deepest TE class in quite a while. Take best available WR/TE in the 2nd

I'm not a draft expert at all but the consensus seems to be that we don't have enough draft firepower to do something like that

We traded all 7 of them to move up to draft Marcus Davenport

I hope not. Means we'd be giving up a big player or other pics that we need.

trade what? all we have is a very late 2nd (which is almost like a 3rd as far as trade value goes) and a pair of 6 and a pair of 7 round picks to trade. i think we also might still hold a 4th or maybe a 5th pick if i recall

im not going to rag on you though, most people dont pay that close attention to what picks we actually have when posting questions like this.

only way we can trade up is giving up high picks for years 2020 and 2021

look for any moves to happen in FA and not in the draft

We'll probably make a move for a Te in FA. it's crazy hard to draft a day 1 impact TE and that's what we need.

I'd like to see the saints stay put and hopefully grab someone like irv smith TE, deebo samuel WR, or riley ridley WR.
If we miss on an early TE, homer, later round pick: Foster Moreau. He is a good blocking TE who can be used for short yardage and goal-line situations

I also really like Hunter Renfrow as a later round WR

No. There will be good TE's where we draft in the 2nd.

Pre combine, Keep an eye on these SEC guys

Dawson Knox(Ole Miss), Sternberger(A&M), Nauta(UGA), and Irv Smith Jr (Bama)

It was reported recently that Green Bay is going to pick up his roster bonus and keep him around.

Isn’t he like 30yrs old already? I feel like he played college ball for 12 years.

TE is not a glaring need.

It kinda is lol. Our offense opens up so much more when Sean has that TE like Graham

Dawson Knox from Ole Miss would be a late round steal. He was very underused at Ole Miss, but he has all the measurable and work ethic, as he was a walk-on quarterback at OM.
