Good players are going to get cut. I think Lawrence has played his way onto the team as the 4th DT. With the versatility of Cam, Okafor, Hendrickson, and Loewen, I'd imagine that we'll only carry 4 "pure" DTs. Stallworth has looked good, so he should catch on with another team.

And with those versatile DEs + Davenport, Mohammad and probably Kikaha will be looking for new teams. Hopefully we can get both Mohammad and Stallpepper onto the practice squad.

Muhammad almost made a big play to end the half. Kikaha hasnt made a play since his rookie year on a trash D

Loewen keeps making a case for his inclusion.

Kikaha is a nobody.

I'll admit, that's more than I remember.
But damn, he disappears.
And not just because of injury.

Kikaha has a wide and slow outside pass rush. That’s it. Unless there is a miscommunication he doesn’t get sacks.

He sucks and always has. People continue to pretend to see things that aren’t there.

He played every early in the game last night with plenty of starters and made some plays.

I'd be surprised if Loewen doesn't make the team. He can line up at DT or DE (to play the run). Also plays special teams. He's starting to become a lock imo.

Pretty much. I had high hopes for him after we drafted him. Too many big injuries, too slow, & also undersized for a DE. He also looks out of place as a 4-3 OLB. I think he's on his way out.

You can never go wrong adding talent and depth to your lines.

Loewen looks a little thinner and quicker than last year which was exactly what he needed to do to help his development imo. He looks like a great backup to have in terms of versatility on the line.

And I would not cut one DL player of value to keep Hill as a 3rd QB option.

It's really the only thing this preseason on the defense I've noticed.

I know we have a good secondary but we're playing soft coverages.

Still waiting someone to stick out at linebacker.

We know Okafor is a stud if he can stay healthy. he's just mean.

Wasn't expecting this leap out of Hendrickson.

Onyemota looks better than Rankin's, and he doesn't look bad either.

So far so good.

Kikaha made like two in the first preseason game.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I predict Hendrickson has a breakout year. I will go on record to say, if he stays healthy, he will have 6+ sacks this year.

Onyemota also looks awesome. I think he should start. I know him and Rankins are technically the same position, but I don't see why him, Rankins, Okafor, and Jordan can't be your starting 4 on the DL.

He has been starting, and they do sort of play the same position, except Onyemota has more physical upside.

They'll be on field at the same time plenty though.

I thought at best Hendrickson would be a nice rotational player, but he's looking like he might a little more than that. He's showing some real stoutness in run defense, and he's timing snaps well and using his quickness to his advantage.

Credit to the coaching staff for maximizing the talent by teaching sound technique.

The problem with Kikaha is he looks like a man without a position, at least on this team. I'm thinking he might be better suited as a 3-4 olb.
