I know some of you mouth breathers were losing your minds during the game... but the reality is we have a defensive plan that can win us a lot of games.

We have been incredible vs the run and playing cover 2 and trying to keep everything in front and prevent big plays.

We played one of. if not the best offense in football and we gave up a lot of yards, but we also forced 4 field goals and got a huge turnover... which is a win for us when you have Brees.

Not succeeding very well at that.

Thank goodness the offense makes up for the secondary's (and coach's) deficiencies.

Yeah actually having the first overall run defense is why we won today. Nobody has come close to shutting down gurley. So I’ll give him props. We need to fix some things on the back end but we don’t win today without an excellent run defense.

Also Davenport coming along is huge and when he’s back that pass rush will get a huge boost.

100%. we were close to getting to Goff a few times today and i think Davenport couldve been a half step quicker and got him a few times today.

And sure, we gave up some big plays... watch the nfl, every defense is, the point is to learn how to work with what you have and the rules... and what Allen has done is given us a blueprint to use week in and week out that puts us in a position to win. AND this was about as much of a test as we could face and they did a damn good job.

Defensive stats VS the run are a direct correlation with the numbers we put up on offense.

If the game stays close, Gurley runs all over the Saints.

We are definitely playing “the best defense is a good offense”

Having the #1 rush defense in today's NFL isn't as impressive as it used to be. It's a passing league.

Sure it's great and I'm happy about it, but if our secondary doesn't step up it's almost a moot point. Offenses simply drive the field faster on us.

The Rams basically scored at will. They didn't really need a rushing attack. The defense won the game at the end when they finally stopped the pass on their last 2 drives.

So Brees gives the Saints a 21 point lead late in the 1st half and Rams tie the game up in the 4th qtr.......and you call that doing an incredible job?

Define incredible please.

News Flash....the Saints run D is so good because most teams pass AT WILL on the defense, nobody really runs the ball.

There's nothing INCREDIBLE about this defense! Incredible defenses force punts long before the game gets into the 4th qtr.

Are you really too stupid to realize I clearly meant that had we had Davenport he would’ve improved our defensive performance because he is better than Okafor/Hendrickson and could’ve got to the QB a bit quicker thus affecting some of the big plays they were able to get....

Who cares? If they can’t run the ball and we limit the big plays, and force field goals and turnovers... that’s a winning strategy in today’s nfl... especially with our talent
