I don’t want anyone that gets cut from Dallas’ defense especially their secondary.

Isn't he more of a backup/special teamer?

this is a camp signing idea. no risk, maybe higher'ish ceiling than a normal camp body.

Hopefully we get the guy that coached the Legion of Boom.

How? He's a random undrafted player that hasn't done anything in the NFL and was average in college.

further proof you get a lot of mileage out of a 5 star ranking.

Crazy how Alabama can put together untouchable college teams with players that often don't perform near that well at the next level.

Well Savion Smith didn’t even perform well at Alabama. He was probably the worst starting CB Bama’s had in a long time. He only made it into the NFL briefly because teams were intrigue by his measureables.

I made a thread about this on the SEC rant board. Specifically about their linebackers. They have had some major busts at that position. Of course the gumps didn’t like it very much.

He covers like a safety and tackles like a CB. Not much demand for that in the NFL.

Looking at, say, LSU- you have the NFL players, a FEW guys worthy of the practice squad, and then maybe a third to half the roster that won't even get a look somewhere.
The difference in depth is immense, and makes a difference.
