Upvote if you agree, downvote if you do not agree.

I don’t believe CSP needs a superstar QB at the helm, he just needs a decent QB and a good defense, which we definitely have.

He could also earn a 1st round bye and get bounced with a 1st ballot hall of famer

I think CSP could get a 8th seed with this guy but still don't want him

If the Saints earn a first round bye, Goodell will change the rules and make them play the 8th seed on the road.

At that point why wouldn't you just roll with Crab Legs?

There is no point in having a discussion if anyone thinks Nick Mullins is a better option than Jameis. I dont care what they pay him as its not my money and they work the cap better than any other team.

And where is that 22 million coming from. He has no real leverage as he had not played and there is an abundance of starting caliber QBs available

Nick Mullens isn’t decent though. He’s been benched multiple times for CJ Beathard. Shanahan couldn't win with him, you can’t win in this league with Nick Mullens. His INT% is worse than Winston’s

Has anyone come up with a number and contract for Winston?

I don't think he is a long term solution. So if can get 2 years/Under 20 million. I am more eager to take it. If not then just making the 7th seed seems like a good way to draft 24th or higher.

You’re either telling him we want you as starter or you are not.

You can do that without paying him that much.

Now if another team gives him that offer, which i don't think they will, they yeah.

I just don't see it. I could be wrong. I'm not saying the saints won't give it to him, cause they will.

3 years 30 to 45 million. If he exceeds expectations we give him a new contract with a bigger piece of the pie.

Winston is a better option than a rookie, and a decent option than giving up the farm for a proven vet. If he limits turnovers we can go to the pla8eith him at the helm.

If I were Winston, I'd get a 1-year deal from the saints. I wouldn't sign a multi year for peanuts. Take the 1-year, team friendly deal with the saints, and parlay that baby to a big contract next offseason. Obviously you don't do this if someone offers 20+ multi years this offseason. Obviously, this could backfire too.
