Coping: Day 5
Posted by 3HourTour on 1/19/18 at 11:14 am251
If the Saints would have won, Vikings fans never would have donated to Thomas Morestead’s charity, who never would have made the donation to the children’s hospital in Minneapolis. Saints lost for the greater good of humanity. True Saints!

Meh
I’m over it (at least til football kicks back up this weekend, like seeing an ex you still like)... it was a great season.. next year looks promising.. It’s also exciting having some hope that we won’t completely frick up the upcoming draft as well
So frick it, life could always be worse

This still hurts so bad. I literally can't even talk about it. I've never had a loss affect me this much in my life. We were so freaking good and were so close. I will never get over this as long as a I live. Future is so bright, main thing keeping me going

I still get a bit sick when I see sports media talking about the Vikings and eagles playing for the nfccg. But at least those 2 franchises are vying for their very first super bowl victory. And I’ve come to hate both of them. So knowing one of them will be vastly disappointed this weekend makes me a bit happy.

Umm....I believe that's exactly what you're doing.

I pray to everything that is holy that I never get this so wrapped up in something that I have absolutely zero control over, that it actually alters my life. Prayers sent bro...

I think we probably beat the Eagles...we would probably do OK against the Jags, but I just don't see us beating the Pats with all the guys we lost.
I think I would rather have lost this past week than in the SB. BUT I still hate losing the way we lost. But I am proud of our guys for fighting back down 17-0 at the half. They could have just given up but they went out there and took the lead twice.

Considering the number of season-ending injuries the Saints suffered, it's a miracle they made it that far.
With even a small improvement in the injury department next year, Saints should be incredible.

quote:Yeah I figured we were pretty screwed against Minnesota once Peat went down against Carolina. Too many injuries at the wrong time.

At no point in that game did you feel like LSU would win that, though it was an arse kickin
2011 and this game, Saints had a shot and lost in dramatic fashion. Seeing your team get whipped is better than the roller coaster of thinking you are going to win then having your heart ripped out.

After bountygate and piecing and splicing sideline audio together to further that narrative, I have come to expect the very worst from the NFL.
I rebound faster and have become very pragmatic about the outcomes.
I want victories but appreciate the team effort, more, considering the in-place obstacles.

I've decided to move to Syria and fight along side the Syrian regime against Al Queda b/c of this game. I'll keep ya'll up to date on my progress. Tigerdroppings is a big hit in Syria. They told me it was.
