Solomon Thomas basically blows everyone out of the water & has the best results in every category. He easily has the best 40 yard dash, bench press, broad jump, & 20 yard shuttle. Charlton is close to him in the vertical jump & Barnett basically has the same 3 cone drill as him.

With Thomas not looking like a possibility anymore...I'm going with Barnett as of right now(that 3 cone drill ).

Thomas will be the only one gone by 11 imo

Solomon was already moving into the top 10. He's top 5 now.

Allen probably won't make it to us, but I won't be shocked if he does. He definitely didn't help himself at the combine with those numbers. We might as well take Thomas off our board now...no way he or Garrett makes it to #11.

I'd rather Allen if we ran a 3-4, but I'll take Barnett in our defense over Allen. Charlton seems like a riskier pick than Barnett, but he does have a high upside & great size.

Thomas is absolute freak when you matchup his game film with his combine results. I would like to see him slide down but after today that isn't happening.

It also should be noted that Barnett participated while battling a virus.

quote:

On Sunday, Barnett fought through the illness to show up for the on-field session for defensive lineman.

Via Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Barnett ran the 40-yard dash in 4.81 seconds and 4.85 seconds.

Jordan Willis is another edge guy that impressed, he also had a good Senior Bowl performance. I knew he was productive at K State but didn't know he was that athletic.

Allen should fall right around our pick. Another reason people shouldnt quote early mock drafts as the gospel.

Willis is a great athlete. But he's being knocked on twitter for being too straight line.

Walterfootball has him anywhere from the 2nd to 4th round. He will probably end up closer to the early 2nd round now.

Jordan Willis, DE/OLB, Kansas State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 255. Arm: 33.25. Hand: 10.
Projected 40 Time: 4.90.
Projected Round (2017): 2-4.

Jordan Willis. Great size and absolutely crushed the combine! 2016 big 12 defensive player of the year with 16.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks in the regular season. Last season Pro football talk had him graded as the 5th best pass rusher and gave him the top grade in run defense for a DL. Would be excellent in the second round allowing us to go linebacker or safety in the first.

He does play rather stiff. I can see why that is being said about him.

Not sure why we are comparing Allen's results to the other 3. He is a completely different player. He is a DT who can play DE in a 3-4. The others are either 4-3 DEs or edge rushers. Of course they would perform better in comparison.

Because these are the 4 DE's that we were targeting at #11. I'm not knocking Allen...just don't think he's as valuable to us as he will be to a team that runs a 3-4. His bench press is kind of odd though(could be due to his shoulder issues).

Barnett please @ 11

Cannot ignore his production in college and then he has that 3 cone drill which is the most important thing for a DE
