Check in if you're cautiously optimistic but ready to accept defeat at any time.

You do realize that the reason the Saints lost their 2 games was the offense couldn't keep the ball long enough...just long drives.

The defense played rather well. If McCown can run the game to give the Saints the majority of the ball control...that's a win.

we usually have trouble when we play there even in the best of times...My attitude is that our contention window is likely over in the Payton/Brees era but it's still the Saints...going to enjoy each week as is and hope for the best.

What is there to be optimistic about? Only 3 teams since 1990 have made the playoffs starting 0-3. This is another wasted season with an aging and now hurt QB.

My heart says we win but my brain says I'd last money on Carolina even if the spread was -14.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but we couldn't beat TB with Brees. I say we have less than 1% chance to beat Carolina with McCown. The only reason we will have a chance against Dallas is that Romo and Dez are out. I know that I'm being a Debbie Downer, but I was excited about this season and it has turned into poo poo.

Call me a wahmbulance and take me away.

We've got a 30% chance to win. So I'm hopeful.
