Go do your job, Cedric. Quit pandering to your constituents. It's pathetic.

Unfair penalty? You mean no penalty, right?

Isn’t part of your job to represent your constituents? I have no problem with this. Government is shut down anyway. What the frick is he going to do?

While I seldom or never have agreed with Mr. Richmond in the past I doubt there has ever been an issus on which his constituents were more in agreement.

This kind of crap, and the stupid Frank D'amico lawsuit won't accomplish anything. These are PR stunts, pure and simple, designed only to generate publicity for D'Amico and Richmond.

Cedric is shows himself to be exactly what he is --- a political hack.

This is likely one of the first things he’s ever done for his constituents. Give him a break.

I agree he is a hack but this could potentially have teeth if pursued unlike the lawsuits. Congress has the right to revoke the NFL's antitrust exemption. If Congress simply repealed the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 it would be devastating to the league.

If Richmond has an interest in the NFL and antitrust, he should have been pursuing this path of thinking earlier. This is PR bullshite as posted earlier.

If it causes the NFL at least a modicum of discomfort I am ok with it being PR.

I think it's great. Anything to make Goodell and the NFL squirm.

I don't have a problem with this.

You youngsters are too young to remember how LA got the Saints.

Russell Long pulled that off when he had Rozelle in front of a congressional hearing on anti-trust.

If I recall correctly, Russell told him the committee had the power to rule with or against the NFL; that his state had been trying to get a franchise with no luck.

Rozelle supposedly then asked him what LA was going to name their new franchise. The NFL got away with whatever they wanted and we got the Saints.

Somebody older than me can straighten this story out if I missed something.

I think there is enough evidence for an investigation, but Congress would jack it all up, and they wouldn't vote for anything of substance.

I think there is enough evidence of a fix to warrant an investigation. If the FBI won't do it, could some state or local agency launch an investigation since the events unfolded within their jurisdiction.

If Garrison can do an investigation of the JFK assassination, surely Cannizzaro could spend some time on this modern day tragedy.
