Saints got no pressure and Tampa did. I don’t care who you have. You put pressure on a qb they will make mistakes. Brady won when it counted.

Brees is done, saints are done no money for another qb and all we got is crab legs. Welcome back to 8-8 or 7-9 seasons

You hit the nail on the head, and our rush defense was not good tonight.

True and they were good except maybe the eagles game. It was like watching a pelini defense. No adjustments.

All season long, you would always hear about our DL dominating the game. We never saw that tonight. Also our OL got beat bad tonight. Bucs brought good pressure, and plugged up the holes. It is all about the lines

Correct. This was similar to the Eagles’ game effort unfortunately during the playoffs.

It’s fricking odd how bad our OL has been in the playoffs the last few years

Every year they look dominant, December hits and they erode

Saints OL was fine.

The defense and special teams were not the problem.

I will agree to a certain extent...Turnovers killed this game. Yes Yampa got a few more yards running than most teams and a whole lot more than they did he last time in Tampa.

But the pressure Tampa mader the right protection calls and avoided 3 and long for most of the game. When he did have a 3rd and 14 he threw a quick pass to the boundary that nobody could have defended.

No pressure because defense played to stop the deep ball. Brady checked down all night and it was easy running lanes for their rbs. Should have pressured Brady more.

Everyone is acting like Jones and LF7 ran roughshod over us - the Bucs averaged 3.6 YPC.

The difference in the game was the turnovers and situational football. We didn’t take advantage of the Harris return in the 1st quarter. They scored 3 TDs off of our first three TOs. Cook was a bitch prevented us from going up 2 possessions. Evans caught a TD when MT didn’t in a 1 on 1 situation in the endzone. Anzalone got bodied by Fournette on his TD.

Situational football.

I posted numerous times tonight that we were constantly getting beaten in the trenches on both sides of the ball

Well we basically threw a pick six and fumbled away the game winning drive.

That was 14 points given away basically.

No shite but these lines played great all year. It would be nice to know before the game that will shite the bed. Or that noodle arm will just throw it to the Bucs.

Meh, I thought the defense played well enough to win. Our offense basically handed them 3 scores.

And I love Brees man, but they just stacked the line and jammed our receivers and dared Drew to pass beyond 15 yards and he couldn't.

Hell, that's why they put Winston in to run the trick play, Sean knew Brees could not throw the ball that far down the field anymore. Sad, he used to make a living throwing downfield. He was never Bert Jones with arm strength but he used to pass downfield a lot. funny how his arm strength deteriorated so significantly and Brady's so minimally.

Having said all that - Cook does not let that ball get popped out it's a whole different game. I thought the Saints had some rhythm going and were poised to go up two scores right there.

And that would have changed the game dynamic drastically...and give the Saints a very good shot at victory.

Oh well...
