My understanding is that we are extremely close to the cap.

He makes 11 mill this year with a 15 mill cap hit for Arizona, and about 11 each of the next two years I think.

What contracts could we rework to fit it in? And what would be the ramifications for next years cap (in particular trying to re-sign Bridgwater)?

Just curious about how it could work out.

Armstead & Cam were the ones that I saw someone tweet about as possibilities

Some dude -
"Cost to acquire Patrick Peterson is about $6.5M in cap space this year. #Saints have around $2M so they will need to start redoing deals if they want to make that move"

Quality responses as I expected.

I really just meant "bonethug" by referring to experts.

Good info. So if all of a sudden we see deals start being restructured in the next week, it is time to start really wondering

Posted this in the other thread as well.

Then there’s the financial impact. Per CBS Sports salary cap expert Joel Corry, any team waiting until the Oct. 30 deadline to trade for Peterson would need about $5.8 million in 2018 cap space. Peterson’s 2019 salary cap hit is $11.25 million, and it climbs to $12.55 million in 2020. The Saints currently have around $2.1 million in space available, but it would climb to a little over $2.7 million should they pass off Crawley’s contract. Early extensions for other players could lower their 2018 hits, creating more space — names like Cam Jordan ($14.4 million against the cap), and Ingram ($5.3 million). There are tougher considerations down the road with Drew Brees and Teddy Bridgewater each needing resolution next spring, but if the Saints really wanted to get Peterson, they have the resources to do it.

Don't worry about the money.

Extending cam or Ingram
Restructuring armstead or Warford

Also, don't forget about extending Peterson as well.

There's options

We'd be on the hook 10/16ths or 10/17ths of that. Not sure how it would work exactly since we've had a bye week already and the Cards haven't, but we would need to account for less than the $11m (~$6.5m).

Yeah I realize that but I knew we were close up on the cap.

Looks like it can easily be done.

You can simplify that further, Thrillho.
