Inside linebacker that would cost too much for the depth piece he would likely be. Maybe if he's still around in the 3rd wave of FA, but he's an unlikely addition with Lofton and Hawthorne in the middle already making a lot of money.

Not that I would make it a top priority, but I don't know how sold I am on Hawthorne. I'm just hoping he was hampered by injury last year, but he wasn't impressive

He was really good a few years ago. I havent't really been keeping up with him though. I do remember that he came out the same year as vilma. Vilma and he were rumored to be targets of the Saints that year, but they were picked right before us.

He could start for the NO Saints from day 1. He's a talented guy. The front office would just have to decide if he's worth paying a good bite of money to because he's had trouble staying out of trouble in recent years. Also, he can play any linebacker position. He's played inside and outside on numerous occasions. Has experience in the 43 and 34.
