Playing out like I thought. I just said the final spot or 2 for WR would come down to Roby, Parker, and Tanner and that Thomas was nothing more than a camp body now.

Not that it was hard to see. Nothing else is even worth mentioning.

How much playing time has he gotten in preseason? I haven't been able to watch a lot.

Not much at all. Only 5 special team snaps in the Raiders game. He hasn't shown anything in camp or in the first game.

The WR group should be:

Colston
Moore
Stills
Toon
Tanner
Parker

Parker can play special teams, and do what Roby did. He is also a better receiver. This would be a nice, versatile group.

I like this group, but are we keeping 6?
And I'd have Parker over Tanner at this point with the edge definitely coming on kick returns.

I think Roby gets cut as well. Watch out for Hakim, his ST play in college was very impressive. I like his potential as a deep threat and his ability as a gunner.

With that said, I still think he gets cut. Maybe PS for him.

Besides getting where's he's going really fast, I haven't seen him do much. Parker on the other hand has done nothing but produce so I don't see room for Hakim. I agree he won't make it; I think he's in the next round of cuts.

Hakim seems to have stone hands.

Roby vs. Tanner is an interesting matchup. I think Tanner is a better pure receiver and Parker basically nixes Roby's advantage as a KR. I haven't seen Parker as a gunner though. However Roby is a very solid gunner.

How many times can a player be on the practice squad because Tanner is a prime candidate for PS.

Roby hasn't even been the primary returner the last couple of seasons. He's been making it on his gunner/kickoff coverage skills alone.

That could still get him a spot over Tanner as they have what seems to be 5 legit receivers in the other guys.

That's why in my 53 projection I have Roby just beating out Tanner, but if Tanner does really well the next 2 games it will be hard to ignore him. He really needs to contribute on special teams in some way.

As for the do we keep 6 question, we have I think every year since Payton has been here and the only way that changes is if one of the young LBs stands out enough (Johnson, Martin, or Reddick).

Edit:
I'm not sure if he's eligible but if so he's definitely going.

I see him as easier to replace than Parker and Roby so I think he's odd man out.
