He was a game-time scratch. I think Sean took a gamble and believed Crawley could carry the D.

You best believe Lattimore will be put on Sanu to see how the ankle is going and may flip to Julio if need be.

More importantly, is that we can run our primary defense with confidence.

We absolutely have to stop Freeman/Coleman.

Would be great if he is healthy enough to cover Julio. Getting past Carolina without him and giving him a few more days to heal was huge.

This is a game that Julio is going to go beast mode. He'll be the big focus for sure. Without Lattimore, the secondary is shaky at best, and even if he's back, it's off an injury and they probably feel they can still exploit that.

Pass rush is going to be so key this game.

I think he definitely at least starts. I could see him even pushing himself a little. It seems like the coaching staff is finally starting to respect injuries and not rush players.

Lattimore got extra rest and then with this Thursday game, he will get even more time before next week. Really shook out well for him.

Or you sit him again on Thursday and he has basically 2 more wks to get right. Say he sits on Thursday and we lose. But he's back at 100% for the Jets and we finish 3-0 to end the season. If he wasn't well enough to play yesterday as a late game time scratch, it's hard to believe he'll be well enough 4 days later.

He's def playing. He will be on Julio. Usually when Julio doesn't ball out the Falcons aren't as potent offensively. But we will still need to contain Freeman and Coleman the way we sewed up Jonathan Stewart and McCaffrey.

We do that, we win.

Matty Ice isn't as dynamite as he was last year. Still, the times we blitz we are going to have to get to him, like Klein yesterday. We will need a few sacks

Julio hasn't done shite this year. He had 1 big game where he had 250 yards and 2 tds the rest of the year only 1 other td and 750 yards. Their backs are really good also and may present problems catching the ball.

Didn't Crawley do a good job on Julio in the Dome last season? I know Julio was a little banged up, but if I remember correctly he only had like 2 or 3 catches.

I'm more worried about Coleman and Freeman tbh, they have killed us before.

Probably the best way to do it even if Shon is healthy. Sanu is a little bit shiftier. Crawley would likely get burned by him a bit. Crawley is a little taller/thicker too. I think Crawley on Julio with safety help and Lattimore erasing Sanu is the best way to go.

Yep. 2 catches, 16 yards in like 35 coverage snaps

I think Sean probably asked him if he was honestly 100% and got a negative. No way would they have risked rushing him back at less and risk having him out longer.

The vikings owed that arse yesterday. The saints will do the same on Thursday.

Fun Fact: Matt Ryan had a 28 game with a TD streak (which was the longest active streak) but it broke yesterday which means Drew's streak is protected for at least another 3 or 4 years.
