I've enjoyed watching college football at the FloraBama a few times when we were in the area over Labor Day weekend.
Not sure how the atmosphere would be this time of the year though

Try the Daq bar at The Wharf and also the Intercoastal at The Wharf complex. The Tiki Bar at sportsmans marina is on the water and a good drunk.
