I hate when people just tell you convince me I'm wrong. That phrase is annoying. Maybe you should say can you convince me I'm wrong. But....I still would say I don't give a s*** enough to do so

If I had to make the arguement I would say that Baun is more of a tweener, and that he hasn't been playing 4-3 OLB. In college he was at his best a 3-4 OLB pass rushing, and thats where he shines, but not necessarily where he will play for the Saints with Jordan and Davenport on the edges.
He is good for a 3-4 OLB dropping into coverage, but its not a huge part of what he was asked to do in college.

Queen played for LSU so I have no interest in his career

I’m just stoked we landed a prospect that’s on the same level as Queen in the 3rd. Can’t beat that value. But I’ll say he has higher upside rushing the passer than Queen which matters in today’s game.

Good points, also remember this board screamed for a solid year Cam Jordan can only play in a 3-4.

Queen was never all that impressive at LSU so that wouldnt surprise me.
Baun doesn’t necessarily have dominant traits or size.
Queens in the better situation with a defensive organization but statistically both of them might amount to meh

I mean it's possible, but good luck getting any type of objective adult dialog with all the homers on this site.
If I were going to make an argument I'd point out that Queen has shown much more athletic ability and looks to be much more versatile than Buan, but Queen has really only been able to crack the starting line up for half a season or more to display that talent. Baun has much more experience playing at that high level through his college career.

Queen you thing you may be getting an excellent LBer.
One things for sure, these two will forever be joined throughout their careers by Saints fans at least.

We could have picked Baun or Queen with the first round pick and neither would have been a bad pick. I think Baun is more of a sure thing, but Queen has a higher ceiling.

Queen is a rare athlete for the position. It's hard to bet against him.

I think they will both be really good linebackers. It is worth mentioning that we got unbelievable value getting Baun in the 3rd. Baun is also a guy that the FO really wanted. They were trying to work a trade as early as pick 32 to get him. I am excited to see how we use him.
