Look he made one rookie mistake, he’s going to learn from it and get stronger.

His one horrible play his rookie year doesn't negate all the great plays he made and the very bright future he has with the Saints. People are retards.

I think the Rookies spoiled us with their play all year. I can't honestly remember any of the rookies making a play this year that we could call a "rookie mistake". These guys played great all year. Williams was solid all year and had one "rookie" mistake at the worst possible time.

Hearing his post game comments, I feel like he's going to get over this and be even better. His best comment was "if I make a play like that ever again, than i shouldn't be playing football". He owned up to it like a pro and is going to be a good player for us for a while. Remember, he's only 21 years old.

Listen man. I feel bad for him. And, I don't want to destroy him or even cut him.

But, it's kind of crazy to expect fans to have moved on by now. I mean, it's accurate to say that he simultaneously made the biggest bonehead and most important negative play in franchise history. There is a possibility he brought to an end the last opportunity we will have under the Brees era.

We don't have to pretend it's "one rookie mistake", do we?

It's a knee jerk reaction. People don't really want him to kill himself.

I agree Williams played some great football this year but that might have been an all-time frick up. Considering the situation, it may be the worst NFL football play ever. Fans don't have short memories. For Williams' sake I hope he makes some game winning plays in the seasons to come.

This play will be talked and replayed for 20 years and these fricks want us to forgive and forget like 18 hours later.

Gtfo. We understand he’s a rookie and he had a great year, but that was a blunder of the highest order. Just a really horrible play. It was much worse than just some “rookie mistake.”

MW made a terrific interception to get us back in the game. He listened to his coaches trying to avoid a penalty. But he did make a mistake. Give him a break!!!

Do we also blame Crawley for his 2 penalties in the first quarter??

Do we also blame Drew for his 2 interceptions and poor play in the first half??

Do we blame Ginn for his motion penalty that cost us a TD???

Do we blame the awful refs??

Well let's not put all the blame on Marcus Williams!!

He choked...plain and simple. A guy who gets paid millions to tackle someone, totally missed the guy by a good 2 ft. and in the end, probably cost his franchise millions of dollars

I guess Ingram is off the hook.....the fans want Williams now. Lol

All kidding aside, it was a bad play and I guarantee you no one feels as bad as he does. Chalk it up to a huge learning experience. As for Bobby J, he's an asshat.

Julio Jones literally let the game winning pass slip through his butter fingers but falcon fans aren't calling for him to kill himself. Although I'm 99% sure we would've just gotten killed by Minn

That was was less of a bonehead play than Williams' "tackle attempt"

The one rookie mistake is being called the greatest defensive frick up in NFL history. Not a simple mistake. I feel bad for the kid. I hope he feels as bad for us and his his teammates especially at the end of their career who might not ever make a Suoer Bowl.

It was and fans have a right to be upset. But death threats and wanting a good young 21 year old player to kill himself or be cut is a little extreme. He balled out for y'all this year and his interception was the only reason you were in position to win

Yea but if you want to cut him after that play you are a fricking retard. One play doesn’t offset the whole season of work. EVER.
