As The Season Nears-Strengths & Weaknesses of The Saints Roster. No Melting Please.

Quarterback- I don't know that The Saints have ever been stronger. Brees has demonstrated a remarkable mastery of the white racial patriarchy and systemic racism. Although I have my reservations on Taysom Hill as he hails from a historically racist Mormon community I think Jameis will offer valuable guidance on The Black Lives Matter Global Network.

OL-Extremely deep and with a profound understanding of how we should colletively disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another.

RB-While there has been speculation on Kamara's status I have no doubt he offers invaluable insight into how we can be self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.

WR and TE-Michael Thomas has proven he can really commit to dismantling the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.

DL-I like the depth of this group and I think they prove that we foster a queer-affirming network and that when we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

LB-This group has proven that every day, they will help us recommit to healing ourselves and each other, and to co-creating alongside comrades, allies, and family a culture where each person feels seen, heard, and supported.

DB's-Have proven time and time again that they can and will make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.

Special Teams-These guys are are unapologetically Black in their positioning !
