Perhaps he is already on the team.

You talking about Snead ?
Don’t know what’s going on with that situation ??

I don't mind bringing Snead to camp but he should not be the first option for slot. He needs to earn his roster spot much less playing time. Plus we need speed which is not something anyone but Ginn has on our roster at WR. Luckily for us Richardson, Moncrief, and Gabriel are all available and can all move.

Yes, and given the fact that they still need an upgrade at the WR2 position which hopefully they look for in the draft, but thinking costwise, even though Snead did have a bad year he was damn good in the slot in the years prior so I say barring any better options, they should resign him to a 1 or 2 year deal. It shouldnt break the bank either.

I’d rather just sign Paul Richardson and stick Ginn in the slot.
Or sign Jordan Matthews
Or sign Jordan Matthews

For price Eric Decker is probably the best for the price we could get him for. Everyone else will want to get paid unless we keep what we have and draft a WR high

He already earned his spot. The DUI in the offseason and suspension pissed whoever off and caused them to keep him out of the offense last season.
They will let him float around in free agency, wait for someone to offer him a low offer since he had no stats worth looking at in 2017, then sign him for a cheap contract.
After 2016 he should not and probably won't be a "camp body" for anyone. He is a legit 3rd down go to and an all around good slot receiver.
SP, P.Carmichael, or Drew need to get him back involved in the offense.
He played every down that he played last season and never looked to complain. He made his mistake, paid his dues and it's time to get him back in the mix.
Landry 40 time- 4.77
Snead 40 time- 4.62
We have our starting slot receiver.

Snead isn’t good. We could upgrade with basically any WR in 3rd or 4th round

quote:that, or a consistent TE that can catch the ball, but there is really only 1 or 2 options on the market worth a shite imo (graham and eifert). And i dont think graham wants to come back and tyler is too injury prone. Would be easier to grab a WR and draft a TE. I wouldnt be mad whatsoever if we grab a TE with #27 if its someone that our staff feels can come in and play immediately, with production.

quote:well thats not completely fair to say imo. Whatever went on last year is a question we all want answered, but he showed in 2016 that he can play.

By no means am I disagreeing btw. The slot COULD be upgraded, but imo it’s not the top priority. We need someone else opposite of Thomas that can swoon a defense more. Like I said in the post above, we need a better TE. Drew has always favored his good TE’s in his career from reading defenses and knowing they are always a matchup nightmare for defenses.

Landry is a legit WR1 and would have been an amazing WR2 in this offense. It makes me sick that he has to go to Cleveland, but thankfully he can get out in a year. It's literally a prison sentence.
But Thomas and Ginn on the outside and Snead in the slot is a pretty good set. We just need to take the best pass catcher at 27, regardless of whether he's a TE or WR.

DJ Chark, Calvin Ridley, Kirk or Wims in the draft

In no plane of reality is Jarvis Landry a WR1 and I really like him as a player.
